Book review: The Kite Runner

I just finished reading The Kite Runner by Khalid Hosseini. What a smashing, shattering and utterly engrossing work of art! The book traces the life of a boy from his peaceful infancy in Kabul, Afghanistan to the other end of it (I’m not giving any more of it away). It is very well written, and I highly recommend it. It isn’t the sort of book you read for lots of action, but it’s a brilliant, sensitive account of a man’s life. I loved it. Definitely one for my read again (and again) list.
