Rider Error 5

"Intersections are the most likely place for the motorcycle accident, with the other vehicle violating the motorcycle right-of-way, and often violating traffic controls."

-Motorcycle Accident Cause Factors and Identification of Countermeasures, Volume 1: Technical Report, Hurt, H.H., Ouellet, J.V. and Thom, D.R., Traffic Safety Center, University of Southern California, Los Angeles,

Translation:
This is why racing away from a traffic light when it turns green – a very attractive thing to do – is not necessarily the best plan. Motorcycles are usually fast enough anyway. You can afford to wait for the last jackass to jump his light and then accelerate out.

A ishmall variation. Keep your engine highly revving. That invites some macho suckers up who will surely jump just a split second before the light turns green. Let three-four of them through, then whack the throttle and overtake anyways :p

Works just fine for a P180. YMMV :P

True, motorcycle riders can wait for the last jackass to jump his signal and pass but what about those jackasses who are behind the motorcycle rider ready to run him over and jump the traffic light?

Been there, done that, and learnt to be wiser, MUCH wiser.

Was outta the green light on a kiney only to find Auto jumpin signal, barely missing fracturing my leg, hitting my bike and taking off(literally) onto the other/opposite section of the road.

Ever since, waited on signals! :-D
